This website contains the first capstone project done by the College of the North Atlantic journalism students and the last to be produced at the Bay St. George campus.
After six weeks of long days and late nights, this small group of students brought together print articles, still images, video clips, drone footage and data journalism. They employed cutting-edge multi-media tools to assemble what is the last piece of work to be done at the Bay St. George CNA campus in Stephenville.
After more than three decades, the journalism program is moving to St. John’s. Before we go, we’d like to express our sincere gratitude to our Bay St. George hosts. Hundreds of journalists have been formed by, and because of, the people and places here. They have become storytellers by relating the experiences of the people here. It’s a debt CNA journalism will always acknowledge, and fond memories we shall always recall.
We hope everyone will enjoy the stories and images contained on these pages, but we hope the people of Bay St. George will take extra pride in the project since it was done by students living and learning in a place we shall always consider home.
